Christopher Maurice Brown grew up having to fend for himself. Meaning that he did whatever he had to do to make money. Even if that meant he had to sell drugs. He never was the most well behaved student in school, but he did his work. He knew that if getting good grades and going to college meant he got out of the hood, he'd do that too. And he did. He gets accepted in Syracuse University and that's where the trouble begins. He's repetitively kicked out of classes, suspended, dropped out of courses, and threatened with expulsion. When he has to work with Abelle Jones, an average girl from a middle class home in Ithaca, New York, on a Marine Biology project he sees the potential opportunity to seek help from her. When she hesitantly agrees, what do you think will happen? Will Abelle change? Or will Chris change? Will they fall in love? Or will it all become disaster? "We were never meant to last... but we couldn't stay away." They met in high school-young, reckless, and hopelessly in love. When it all fell apart, they thought that was the end. But some love stories refuse to stay buried. When they find their way back to each other, it isn't the fairytale they once dreamed of. Love turns toxic, passion turns destructive, and together, they become the worst versions of themselves. How far will they go before they finally break for good? Or is this the kind of love that never really dies, no matter how much it burns?
