A world of dragons and fantasy... and a world of blood and death.

Hiccup has grown up among dragons with his mother Valka. He's had a good life, he has a best friend who is famous in the dragon world, is worshipped by many of the dragons, and doesn't need anyone other than his mother.
Astrid has grown up around war and death with the dragons constantly stealing her villages food. She's had a bad life, she lost both her mother and her father at a young age. Is alone among her peers and feels as though no one understands her.
Hiccup has been watching her village for many years, watching her. Astrid knows little about the world outside and Hiccup takes it upon himself to show her.
