Your Life Is Not Your Own

23 parts Complete

Lara Westwood, a young adult, follows her abusive boyfriend into the great city of London in the hopes of finding a new beginning. When her relationship spirals, she becomes desperate to find an escape. Can the great detective Sherlock Holmes save her? *** "So, tell me about you," Sherlock says, his words interrupting the silence that has fallen between us. We both now stand together on the bank of the River Thames watching the sunrise across the horizon. It looks so beautiful as it spills like a pot of liquid gold into the clouds, eradicating the night's darkness. "I'm afraid none of my stories can compete with yours," I shrug, feeling my cheeks blush with embarrassment. "Who are you? Where did you come from? How did you get here?" He rephrases. I hesitate for a moment and turn towards the sun, allowing its warm rays to kiss my cold skin, as I debate whether I should be honest with him or not. At last, I let out a deep exhale and decide to tell him the truth. ***
