"Pearl I have a question for you that is bugging me" I said. "Okay then what do you want to ask me Steven" Pearl said. "How does fusion work and why do gems do it" I said. We will talk about that tomorrow now go get some rest we are going to have a busy day tomorrow" She said. And thats when my learning started. First she taught me what and about fusion "Fusion is when two gems dance in sync and then after that they morfe together to make a stronger gem with more talent, power and skills.

So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate. So he was just walking around in pain but doesn't let it affect him and he didn't tell the gems of the new changes yet.
