Runaway Fox

What happens when a Werewolf meets a Kitsune? They fight. Well at least that is how it used to be before werewolf's took the sides of the Kitsune debuts.
The debuts stir and turn into a war, one where a Kitsune King who believes in freedom needs to protect his daughter.
He sends her away with a werewolf, a kind man who treats her like his own kid.
This man defends her until his last breath allowing her to escape.
The little Kitsune hides in the Northern Californian forest while the rumor is spread that she is "dead."

Years later, thin and starving, she slinks onto a property, She stares at the chicken coop. Climbing under the fence and startling the birds alerts the man with the shotgun.

The man jogged over to the chicken coop and lifted the lid. Within seconds he had the fox by the scruff of the neck and out of the coop. He held the fox up and watched it squirm and cry.
He noticed its eyes glowing an iridescent green, his own grew wide. Caleb dropped the creature and with a loud thump, a cry followed after. With the barrel pointed at her head, the surprised look disappears.

"Kitsune!"
