I can feel his blue-gray eyes digging into the side of my head. I wipe my sweaty palms on my dress and turn my vision away from the moonlight reflecting onto the ocean off of this balcony. Sure enough, he is looking right at me, an intense look in his eye. My mouth feels full of cotton. How can this man make me feel this way after eight years of not seeing him? Nobody else has ever made me feel like this before, except for him. "W-why are you looking at me like that?" I whisper. I'm expecting him to ask me, 'looking at you like what, Darling?' But he doesn't, and something tells me that he knows exactly what I am talking about. "Because, you are just so...prepossessing, Darling." He whispers, and his voice sends a chill down my spine. I shiver. I swallow loudly and drop my gaze to my lap, my hands shaking slightly. What does prepossessing even mean? "Am I making you uncomfortable?" He murmurs. "U-um no." I shale my head slowly. He stands up abruptly, causing me to look at him. His body towers over me, his eyes searching my face for something that I'm not quite sure of, and then he holds out his right hand. "Juliana's Harmony Constant" is a tale of love, music, and the ties that endure through life's twists and turns. A celebration of friendship, resilience, and the magic of music. Juliana, born into a legendary musical family, dreams of a life full of rhythm, harmony, and meaning. At the heart of her journey is Michael Nesmith, a magnetic and enigmatic musician who has been both her closest confidant and her most complicated challenge. As Juliana navigates fame, heartbreak, and self-discovery, the power of music and connection weaves through her life, guiding her toward a future she never dared to hope for. With the support of lifelong friends, The Monkees and a love that defies time and distance, Juliana must decide what truly matters in a world that constantly changes. So, it's been almost 10 years since my last stories I wrote and posted. Life got busy and now I am an empty nester and had a story running around my brain that needed to be written. It made me happy, so I hope it makes you happy too. Any constructive criticism is welcome. I hope you read and enjoy it. This is a Monkees tale of love, music, and the friendship ties that endure through life's twists and turns. You don't need to know all about the Monkees. It can be enjoyed for just a romantic story. The last chapter is an Epilogue-This chapter contains a part about an unsuccessful past attempted non-consensual act with a minor. Don't read this if it will bother you. You can just stop reading at Chapter Nine for the end of the story. I just wanted to explain why they both need each other and it sets up their relationship in upcoming parts of the series I am drafting. If you choose to read this last chapter, let me know what you think and if you think this warning is enough. Thank you. Of course I own no rights to The Monkees. It made me happy, so I hope it makes you happy too. Any constructive criticism is welcome. I hope you read and enjoy it. Love to all from a hopeless romantic~ Sunny
Our Hearts' Desire (The Monkees Family Vol. 2) by teareadknitsleep
46 parts Complete Mature
The Monkees finally hit the big time. They score a recording contract and a national tour, and become a sensation. Even as they sell millions of records and play to packed concert halls, however, they struggle for artistic and creative freedom, control of their image, respect from the music industry and critical acclaim. There are also tensions within the band, and Micky and Gabby quietly work to hold everyone together as the family they have become. In the meantime, everyone's personal life is on the ascendancy, with relationships and commitments becoming solidified and promises being fulfilled. With these changes come individual challenges and confrontations that threaten to rip the couples and even the whole group apart. Once again, it's the Monkees family bond as a whole that supports each member and keeps everyone on track. Most surprising of all, Micky and Davy find themselves changing from best friends to rivals. They're both in love with Gabby, and Micky has made some spectacularly bad choices that leaves the field open to Davy to swoop in and plead his case to Gabby. Who will she choose? This story contains sexually explicit passages. Don't read it if that bugs you. They're not gratuitous. They're there to advance the story and give it deep meaning. This is Volume 2 of a tetralogy of 4 stories. The series is called The Monkees Family. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction, based on the characters in the show The Monkees. No aspersions are meant.

My head was a fuzzy mess. Never again would I mix vodka, gin, and tequila into one shot. And it was all because of one guy. One very stupid guy that I stupidly fell for. Nick Cauldron. 23-year-old, Natalie Atkins has never been in love or in a relationship for that matter. She's spent most of her life in books, reading about them. When she moves out to Los Angeles, she hopes that her luck will change, and she will finally get to live out her fantasy of falling in love. She starts working as a teacher by day and ridesharing at night to make ends meet. Nothing seems to be going as planned as she doesn't get to meet anyone while at school and most of the people she's had as ridesharing customers were either couples, old folks, or college kids drunk off their asses. Then enters Nick, a guy who seems to be a dream come true and who she shares a very great conversation with while ridesharing. He says how he is a musician and how she should come to the Blue Velvet Lounge where his band performs. She goes and finds he is a very talented singer and guitarist. She swoons for him after his performance, and they have drinks afterwards. Just as she thinks he is going to kiss her, he doesn't. Instead, he says she's not his type and would rather just be friends. This stings at first especially as she sees him go after a girl much more alluring than she is. Benji, his bandmate and best friend, tells her it's not worth it, that every girl he gets involved with is only for a hot minute and then he's on to the next one. She asks how she can get him interested in her to which he says to not care about him and move on to the next guy. But she says she's never felt this way about a guy before and Benji says he has an idea. Since Nick is his best friend, he'll turn her into the perfect catch.
