In the year 2185, every knee on earth was bent to one of two nations. Russia, or America. There was no more England, no more Canada, no more Australia. Every inch of the globe belonged to one side or the other, and no one else. Both sides hated each other, and both were at war.

By the year 2590, it seemed America was winning. Russia had made the same mistake as Nazi Germany. Spreading itself to thin. The front lines were long, but not well defended. American troops set foot in England, South Africa, and the Arctic.

By 2600, the Russian empire was reduced to only a little territory in Germany, and parts of old Russia. The "King" of Russia, who's name is lost to the ages, enacted his last resort. To fire every nuclear missile available, and every city with a population above 1,000. Somehow, the American missiles flew as well. No one is sure if this was in retaliation, or if a Russian spy fired them. But all the same, within an hour, every nuclear weapon humanity had made until that point was in the sky. Thousands of missiles flew. So many that they say the sky itself went dark, before becoming to bright to look at. In a matter of seconds, nearly every human on the surface was turned to ash. In the days that followed, any survivors would be killed, or worse, by the fallout.

But humanity was not lost. Over the ruins of Boston, the buildings began to fly. Choice buildings and locations rose from the earth, suspended by bright rings of blue light, and hovered far above the nuclear hell below. The buildings rose above the clouds, and joined together, to form the last civilized place on, or above earth. Noctum.

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
