Summer is a nineteen year old girl from Holywood in Northern Ireland. Carter is a twenty year old male from Charlotte, South Carolina. Each of them met on Twitter and became best friends, but not everything was true about Summer. To Carter, Summer's name was really Maddie and "Maddie" lived in Hollywood, California and was 22. When Carter wants to meet "Maddie," Summer has to make up for the lies she has told if they are going to meet. Or will Summer totally turn down the offer and never choose to meet Carter unless fate brings them together? And if they do meet, what will Carter do? Summer will have to find away around all of this and it will have to be clever.

"Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge.
