Sixteen year old Alison Mcgumery's dream has been to attend Conten High, where the handsome young musician, Jason Clopten attends school. After Her fathers death eleven years ago, her whole world seemed to fall apart, leaving her with her cruel stepmother and stepsister. Things become complicated when she agrees to work for her stepmother as her "slave" in exchange to attend the school. Closed up and guarded as she is, things might just change as she learns the true meaning of kindness and friendship when she meets a charming witty exchanged student from Korea, who might just get even closer to her heart than she expects.

***(AUTHOR'S NOTE AS OF 9/28/13: Hi, if you're reading this, I just wanted to let you know that this story was one of my first stories, so its not my best work xD if you want to read it, go ahead and learn from my first mistakes. :P If you would like to read more of my most recent stories(that I hope are better, than this one) go look at my story, "Mismatched" on my profile! Thanks :)) Stepthanie is the usual, everyday teenager--she goes to a regular highschool, has a boyfriend, and a tension filled relationship with her parents. Her life should be normal right? Well after a tragic accident, her life will never be the same. With the peer pressure of being teenager, boys, and life in general..will she learn to let go...and let God handle it?
