Sage Johnson is a regular girl. And like a regular girl, she knows that there are things in this life that people understand and there are things people don't understand. Here's a relatable fact. Sage doesn't understand baseball. Even more puzzling to Sage, she doesn't understand why a 6'8 terror of a man, Chance Arrington is following her swinging his bat. So what- she may have accidentally thrown a bat through his windshield, does that warrant murder? Meanwhile Chance Arrington is hell bent on getting revenge. He's tired of these dramatic girls trying to up the shock factor to garner his attention. Will Sage be a final message to all these crazy girls lusting after him? Or will she fight back?

Spoiler: She fights back.

This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!
