Ashley Conners, or Ash, needs a summer job. But she won't settle for some silly cashier or lifeguard position. A new spot at Canterfield Farms just opened up and she is determined to get it. After having a hard childhood on a farm, a whole summer filled with horses sounds like a perfect way to reconnect with her memories.

Though mucking out stalls and feeding the horses may seem like a lot of manual labor, Ash loves it. The animals love her and so do the people. Another perk to Canterfield? The owners son is always around. To Ash, Cal is just a preppy horse jock who has money and a polo pony. But after a few weeks, true colors fly and their rocky friendship may blossom into more. She may even become more than just the stable girl!
