Jessica was never too surprised or upset when her parents told her about six months ago that they were splitting up. But one thing she never expected was what was thrown at her on her 18th birthday. She always knew that somewhere down the Family Tree someone married into the Sheeran family years ago. But she was completely taken aback when her parents gave her the ultimatum of living with either of them hours and hours apart from each other, or her cousin, Ed, whom shes never met.

"So let me get this right," Jess sarcastically speaks to her parents, "you're telling me I can either leave all of my friends, leave my school right before I graduate, and live with one of you two in a place I've never even heard of and have to start all over; or I can move in with Ed - Freaking - Sheeran and go to award shows and concerts and maybe if I'm lucky, meet One Direction? You're kidding right? Why'd you even feel the need to ask?"
