Carrie Andrews has the perfect life on paper. She has the perfect athletic husband, she has a successful career with her dream job as well as the two-car garage and picket fence home in happy, oblivious suburbia.
Life is perfect for the 37-year-old woman. Until she realizes she does not want a life where she turns a blind eye to her husband's infidelity and makes excuses for her lack of courage.
Carrie's journey to self-understanding begins when she decides to take an undefined amount of time to go to a retreat and decipher what it is she really wants from life.
But will she be able to do so when she meets Samuel Clarke the sly, adventurous, and tremendously hilarious lawyer/surf instructor who just so happens to be in the suite right next to hers?
Carrie's walk through her midlife crisis is the easy part. Its the figuring out what to do when she reaches the light at the end.
