Adam Ruzek a thirty year old widowed cop with a four year old daughter.He went through rough patch losing his wife. Six months later he's back on the job and finally gets to see the rookie officer intelligence took under there wings. She becomes close with his daughter.The one year mark hit and him and the rookie who wasn't rookie anymore opeaned up to one another. He found out her past was Hard and dark.She found out his past was full with happy menmories that were all tainted by the blood,physical and mental scares from that one hour on that one night which seemed like days to him.

I know I have two unfinished stories and I'm starting yet another. Please forgive me, I'm stuck in a fog with those two and this idea has been kicking around in my head for about a week. It's going to be dark, much darker than what I normally write. I've also outlined it more than I have ever done with my other stories. Usually, I just write it as I go (which explains frequent episodes of writers block) and never really know for sure where the story will end up. This time I'm making sure I get it right. Now for what this is about. Of course it's Burzek! Though, it takes place during the beginning of their relationship and they are keeping it on the 'DL', that's about it as far as it being similar to the show. Fair warning, the language will be harsh and there will be violence and it may be hard to read. That's all I'm giving you, you'll have to read it.... Please let me know what you think as this isn't my usual style.

Like I said its my first shot so take it easy on me, I will try to updated it as often as possible as I know what it's like to wait for a new chapter. 4/30/15 Update: This story has grown from my original idea, which was supposed to be just a short story, so I changed the title something a bit more appropriate. I hope you find it enjoyable! Sorry, for the lack of Linstead, I thought I would use them more, but struggling to tie them in.
