She wept, she knew that the sight of her beloved and his sacrifice would be burned in her mind forever.
Whether she liked it or not.
The teenager pushed herself up and released a sigh. She suddenly felt a sharp object hit her neck and something sticky trickle down. She touched it cautiously and looked at it. Her fingers were glistening red in the sun with blood.
Her blood.
She felt herself growing drowsier by the minute.
"This is it." She thought, her thoughts growing fuzzy. She found it harder and harder to stay awake before slumping over. "Well at least fate is done playing with me." She smiled slightly before feeling a wave of tiredness ripple over her.
What she didn't know was that fate wasn't done playing with her yet.
The fun was only just beginning.
Her last thoughts were of the boy who sacrificed himself for her. Her eyes then drifted shut, her mouth curled into a content smile.
Then all was black.
