Emma Bloom has been in prison for the past 12 years. Convicted for murder, she got the life sentence. For what she did, she's lucky that she didn't get the dearh penalty...
Plus, while she's trying to live with the fact that she's in prison for life, she's also re-living her past through her frequent nightmares. So not only is she irritable from being locked up, she's become what some would call slightly unstable.
Since its creation 1 year ago in 2035, the Free the Stable Law has been freeing reshaped individuals from prison back into society. The law states: If a human that is in prison for a sentence longer than five years passes the "Turning Point" test, they are autimatically freed.
The test date is nearing again, and Em is getting nervous. Can she persevere and surpress all negativity to be able to pass the life changing test? Will Em finally get to a Turning Point?
