I like ponies because they’re pretty, and strong and they can carry you places! And they have MANES!! They’re so cool!
Wait. That wasn’t what I was meant to be telling you…
I’m a mermaid, but no-one else in my family is. It’s like the gene skipped every single generation but me, because I’m awesome! Like ponies! So everyone in my family seems to hate me, besides my mum that is. But she has a boyfriend now, and she likes him more then she likes me. It actually makes me really, really sad.
Most of the time I feel like no-one likes me, because everyone in Pennsylvania (where I live) hates me... So yeah, pretty much no-one likes me. They think I’m a slut because I’m beautiful. Everyone spreads rumours about me, even the parents – so I can’t make any friends. Well, not any in my home town anyway. I can’t even tell them what I am, because they’ll hunt me. That’s what happened in all of the other states and places that I’ve lived.
So, this is my story. The story of a girl who wasn’t loved.
