A stuffy egotistical genius and a badass from the wrong side of the tracks. Two friendless kids become the most unlikely allies when they band together against the odds. Darren has spent her entire life being beaten down. Now bruised and shattered she's not going to take it anymore. When the last rock station in Orange Grove, Florida gets shut down, she decides to save the one thing that she has ever really cared about. She enlists the help of Key, a computer genius with an overinflated ego, who reluctantly agrees. Key is smart, exceptionally so and has been told just that all his life. Unfortunately, the combination of brains and a superiority complex like no other has led to a lot of alienated people. In order to make a little extra cash, he agrees to help Darren, though he has never cared much for rock music or music in general. Through personality clashes and the ashes of burning lives a rocky alliance forms. Key begins to learn more about the ever mysterious Darren as she starts to soften his opinion on "loud mouth music". For a little while things are pretty close to being happy for the two, but nothing lasts forever. They begin to face greater trials regarding the legality of their little project and the snowball effect begins. When the world begins to crash around them their fragile allegiance will be tested and the outcome of their goals challenged. Will the combination of wit and brains be enough to pull them out alive?
