She smiles, she cries, she feels, the only difference is that her family is different. They communicate in a different way. They use sign language. Why? Well, both of Whispers parents are deaf, meaning that they don't hear a thing. They can't hear; they can't talk. The weird thing is that Whisper can. She can hear, she can talk and in addition she can communicate in sign language. Sign language is like second nature to her. So,her life was normal -just silent at home- until she bumped into Maddox. The school's bad boy, the school's outcast. He's mysterious, built like a Greek God, every girls dream and keeps to himself. He has only two friends, their like a little gang- all of them silent to everyone. Emma was born into wealth, elegance, and silence. From a young age, she never spoke unless spoken to. Her words were rare, but her eyes-big, deep, and observant-said everything. She wasn't shy, just quiet. While other girls laughed loudly in the hallways and shared secrets over lunch, Emma sat alone, content in her corner, her world filled with books, sketches, and silence. To most, Emma was invisible. To some, she was weird. And to the cruel few, she was a target. Axel King was everything Emma wasn't. Born rich too, but wild and loud. He walked the school halls like he owned them-tattoos under his uniform, a smirk that made teachers nervous and girls reckless. He was the guy who skipped class but never failed, who partied on rooftops and showed up the next day like nothing happened. Trouble didn't follow him-he called it. They had nothing in common. Except one moment that changed everything. It was a regular Wednesday when Axel saw her for the first time-really saw her. A group of boys were circling Emma, mocking her for being "the silent freak," pushing her books out of her hands. She just stood there, frozen but calm, as if she had accepted it. But Axel hadn't. He stormed in like a lightning strike, grabbing the main guy by the collar, his voice thunder. "Touch her again, and I'll bury you under the school." The bullies backed off. Axel turned to Emma, half expecting fear in her eyes. But there wasn't. Just curiosity... and a faint, grateful smile. That day, Axel sat next to her at lunch. He didn't ask questions. He didn't force her to speak. He just talked, about everything and nothing-his annoying chemistry teacher, his latest prank, the new tattoo he wanted. And Emma just listened. The next day, he did it again. And again. And again. Soon, Axel was Emma's first real friend. Not because she finally talked-but because he finally listened. They were opposites. Axel was loud. Emma was silent. He was chaos. She was calm. He chased the world. She hid from it.
