Clare wasn't really sure how it happened. The plan was to take a year to find herself while Eli waited for her. She knew he would wait forever for her. She also knew she didn't want him to wait. He deserved a life just as much as she did. So when that year was up she didn't go back to New York. And now here she is, working as a Journalist for The Los Angeles times, held up in a nice apartment and basically living the dream.
