Mavis regularly visits Latte World, the medium-sized coffee shop a few streets down from where she gets singing lessons.

The goth guy at the bar, Zeref, is always the one to serve Mavis and to everyone they seem like complete opposites.

Due to Mavis' regular visits she develops an unforeseen relationship with Zeref.
