City Boy

Blurry trees went by as the bus passed through a nice forest. It smelled like honey suckles on a early spring morning. The sun was starting to rise and it looked as if purple and orange cotton candy was thrown in the air. Summer, a long journey with many surprises. I was excited for what the world had to offer this time.

My twin sister June was twirling her gum in her fingers and staring at the back of the set in front of us as if it was some complicated math problem. She was a mystery waiting to be solved, and as for me... Well that's a whole other story.

"Squeeeekkkkk"! The bus stopped all of a sudden and me and June were jerked forward. Good way to start the day.

I took my ear buds out so I could here what the bus driver was saying. "Anyone getting off at..." He loved at the screen of his GPS. "Black Hallows"?! He yelled as if he were deaf. Seeing as there were only two others on the bus we were the only ones to get off.

I thanked the bus driver and he sped off like a maniac. Jeez.

"Here we are". June said more as a question then a statement. And that's how the journey began. Down a dirt road threw a forest.

And that's how it all started for Luke Green.
