Chosen

"I'll be quiet Mommy, I promise." I whispered to my Mommy as she held me tight.
" You are so strong my princess, always remember that Daddy and Mommy love you so much, and they will always be with you no matter what," Mommy sobbed. She tightened her hold on me as another loud bang sounded from our kitchen.
" What's happening Mommy, I'm scared.. Where is Daddy?" I questioned as she released her grip to look into my eyes. She steadied me onto my feet, as she crouched down beside me, tucking a lose strand behind my ear.
" Daddy is alright sweety, some bad men came and he is fighting them off. Don't get scared, he'll be okay," she sobbed. As the loud noises continued, Mommy pressed me against herself for the last time before...
" Well Well Well, we have been looking all over for you, your husband died, now it's your turn beautiful." Three men standing at the doorway approached us.
" Awww... look they have a pretty little girl too, isn't this lovely. Who do you suggest we kill first boss?" A huge scary man said as the two other men laughed.
" Sweety, I need you to listen to me... When I place you down, run into the woods as far as you can and hide. Don't look back, Mommy and Daddy love you always." my Mommy whispered into my ear as the three men continued to laugh. Before I could even reply, Mommy lifted me up and flung me over the window and outside into the backyard.
"Run sweetheart!" She yelled. And the last thing I know, I'm running, running, and running...
Just like my Mommy told me.
