Aria Dear Diary, I saw him passing by my way. I didn't know what to do. I used to smile and greet him but i felt so awkward so i looked the other way. Besides, heʻs the star of the basketball team. Heʻll never notice a geek like me. Also, he's the next in line alpha and i'm just a low ranking she-wolf, we can never mix. Cole Dear Journal, I passed by the corridor and saw the pretty smart girl i usually sat with during Chemistry. I tried to smile at her but she looked the other way. Besides iʻm just some guy who could shoot some hoops while sheʻs this pretty honor student. Sheʻll never like a guy like me. And plus i'm next in line Alpha i couldn't go out with her even if she liked me back. . . . Little did they know they were destined to be together.

As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
