Brody Sanders and Allison Walter were rivals all through middle school. The last time they saw each other was on the last day of 8th grade. A day they both will never forget.

Allison spent the next 2 years with her family in Washington D.C., where her father had a job promotion. He was promoted back to Chicago, where their old home was.

Brody and his family go to a picnic that the Walters hosted, and is the place of Brody's and Allison's joyful reunion.

Oh, and not to forget that Brody's own little sister Susan just happens to become good friends with Allison. Awesome, right?

Could it get any worse?

(Probably.)

And more importantly, how will things turn out for Brody and Allison?

Allie's life has been flipped upside down. She's never been a big fan of change, but as she starts her dreaded first year of high school, it's feeling like a friend- or, rather, an enemy that she completely loathes. Gwen, her best friend, used to have absolutely no interest in boys. Yet, Allie's brother catches her eye. Alec and Gwen sign a contract to have a fake relationship, mostly to throw Allie off, but instead of that, they throw her onto misery. They never expected the train wreck to end with her and Cole... and well, like most love stories, the signers (Alec & Gwen) just can't resist the blooming love they have for each other. ***
