  In this world, there are two sides to everything: good and evil, love and hate, fear and courage, day and night. In Liberta City, a place of promise and freedom, no one and nothing is what they appear to be.
    
    Yumi, a sunny, cheerful Japanese-American girl with strawberry blonde hair and amber eyes, one day discovers this fact in the harshest way possible when she manifests her powers as a Day Witch and accidentally burns down her family's home. 
    
    Meanwhile, in her time of regret, she inadvertently becomes involved in the dangerous arcane secrets of the modern, multicultural city. 
    
    Joining her is Jay, a high school boy with a gift for problem solving and driving his rich young landlady crazy. Side-by-side, the two begin to find their purpose in bringing light against the darkness.
