"You're this gorgeous, ballet-dancer-poet who knows the bartender at the sexy underground club where you take this girl you just rescued from a slimeball at the bus station." She stunned herself with this revelation as she paced back and forth. "This can't be real. You can't be real. Are you secretly a prince too? Or maybe just a wealthy CEO of a big corporation?" "Did you say gorgeous?" he smirked. His charm was so disarming, but she couldn't let him in. She had too much to lose, too much to do. She couldn't let a boy get in the way of her promise to her mother. She mashed her palms into her eyes then looked at him to confirm he wasn't a mirage. He was still there. "Either you're a bad cliché or too good to be true. Neither one is what I need right now." She backed off further, "I've gotta go." He stepped towards her and she retreated more. "Don't," she said as turmoil swirled in her mind. "Clichés aren't all bad," he pleaded. Some things or people keep finding their ways in your life. Maybe because it was meant to happen. Maybe because we were meant to be. I dare not say it out loud though. Genre - Romance/ Contemporary Other tags - Second chance POV - 1st Person Past Tense Copyright © 2023 Detroit99Turbulence ALL RIGHTS RESERVED I do not own the images. Copyright goes to the original owners. P.S. This one shot-even though it has nothing to do with the said characters-was inspired after I watched ten minutes clip of Rory and Jess from Gilmore Girls. One of my close friends made me watch it and I couldn't stop thinking about them. Hence this story was the consequences of my 24 hours of fangirling about the ship Ross/Jery (okay the ship names are just bad, I don't even like Ross (Friends) that much). The MCs here are nothing like them though. I just randomly made them up after a ten minute walk in my room. Lol. Yeah, sometimes I am impulsive. Anyway, I personally don't like the mistakes the main characters made in the story but hey no one is perfect. Also I feel bad for some of the characters here. #Justice_for_Cynthia #Justice_for_ArchieComics If you read the story you'll understand what I mean. Okay enjoy! ♡

A story, in which a typical teenage girl falls for the school's bad boy. Except, she's not that typical and he's not that much of a bad boy. *** "If I told you that I care about you, more than anyone in your life does, would you believe me?" He asked me, his jaw clenched. I could tell he was furious. Yet somehow, I wasn't scared of him. "No" I shook my head bravely. "If I told you,'' He tried again, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath before continuing.''That you make me so fucking mad, I want to punch a fucking wall. What would you say?" He had me trapped now, my back painfully colliding with the wall behind me. I gasped at the impact, looking up into his icy grey eyes. They were cold, emotionless. As always. "Do it!" I dared him with the last ounce of courage I had left in me. The sound of his fist smashing through the wall right next to my head, made my ears ring for a brief moment. I opened my mouth to speak again, shaking slightly, only for him to pull away and leave me standing there alone. ____ !!Warning!! I frowned and he gently held my cheeks in his hand. "I won't forget, Annabelle. I promise that before then, when I am 18, I'll come back here. And that spot in the woods is now our place.
