26 parts Complete

Nine-year-old Amy Winter's holiday plans have gone from exciting to total disaster. How is she supposed to have any fun being packed up and sent to stay with a weird relative she can't even remember? And Aunt Penelope is as weird as they get. With her tangerine curls and old-fashioned clothes, she looks like she came straight out of the old storybooks she collects. What type of person owns a two-story house with a face living on it? With doors that open and close on their own, and a staircase that never ends. Amy is turned upside down and inside out as she's thrown into a world where one's imagination holds all the power. Where Magic becomes part of her everyday life. One that includes a talking cat with a top hat and a Pixie King who believes she is a Storyteller. Forming true friendships with the most unlikely of creatures helps Amy understand that not everyone has to be her friend. And the friends she does have, are worth fighting for. Book 1 of the Storyteller Chronicles. Entry for Open Novella Contest 2022. Based on prompt #15-Being a single child has pros and cons. Being stuck with a weird elderly aunt for the holiday certainly counts among the latter. Or does it...?
