Population Control
You know what? No one wants to admit it, but we're all running out of room. People are blind. We're too many. Every year, more of us pile onto this rotting planet. Bodies, faces, minds pushing, shoving, breathing, eating, consuming. But what are we really? Resources. And guess what? Resources expire. We can't just keep packing in more and more. People are already useless. We've been useless for a long time, and yet we're allowed to walk around, pretending we matter. Pretending we aren't just feeding into this endless cycle of death.
The night when everything got f*cked up.
The party was quite nice. The school year had just started. But there was too much alcohol, too many problems, and a unfortunate accident that would kill 5 kids, leaving many in grief. Cheating happened, death happened, rape happened, and brought people closer to each other than they've ever been. People mourn every time they see the sunset, people can't bring themselves to get into an Uber. At the end of the day they're just young, and some will stay young forever. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
