"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" "THE SAME THING I'VE WANTED FOR A WHILE NOW" "AND WHAT IS THAT?" "SADLY, SOMETHING YOU CAN'T GIVE ME......" With that, he grabbed his coat and walked out of the empty class room. For a while, I was frozen still. I was stuck in the same position for a while. I just could not believe my ears. The only person that could make my heart skip a beat, had just confessed his desire for something else. With each second that pasted while I was frozen in place, I could feel a pain in my chest. Maria Hayes was a quiet, well organized girl that weighed heavily on her morals and stuck to tradition. She had just started college and was proud of herself for, as her mom would say 'Staying focused on her books'. She worked hard to get into a big university. When she begins school at UGA, some of her encounters in this new town could possibly hinder her success. Life was always difficult at home, but Maria never thought that going to college could make her life so much more complicated.

"Why did you do that?" I asked as I entered the classroom and set my books on his desk. "What did I do?" he replied, not looking up. "I waved at you, and you ignored me.
