Mal Craighton, otherwise known as "The Damned", has been locked in the magic prison Aboron for 30 years, only released to fight in wars of those who imprisoned him.
Half dead after saving a young girl from some soldiers, he races to escape the chains that held him for so long. He and his new companion, , head out on a dangerous journey south to find the kingdom by the sea, rumored to be impenetrable, and hopefully find peace at last.
