It had already been five years since Vergil left his world of Limbo. It has been five years since he left to find his lover, and lived with her. It has been five years since he saw his brother.

But now Leah and Vergil are on the way back home on a new mission together -to free their father Sparda from his prison. Their mother, an angel cursed to never see her demon husband again until he is freed, works once more with Leah's ex-guardian angel Azazel, on an order to oppose the Demon King Mundus and free Sparda once and for all. With the power of all three children of Sparda, freeing Sparda would finally happen.

Except that Dante isn't around anymore. He has disappeared -in search of someone. Someone special who has entered his life and suddenly taken all of his mind. Someone who disappeared as well in search to free Sparda.

So what does he do? He starts over, and finds love again. The katana wielding brother settles down with another woman, and has a second son for himself, one he will spend his time with, Y/N Sparda. However, being the Son of Sparda, there were still Demons that slipped through cracks of the Twin's Seal, and broke into the house, attacking the woman before being killed by Vergil. Heartbroken, he finds his son still alive, and in his mother's arms crying. Vergil vows to never let his son experience weakness like he did. He moves back with Dante and Nero, and joins the Devil May Cry Business, all while raising Y/N.
