Barry closed the singularity, but he's changed. He's lost, confused. He's not the light we knew. He doesn't know how to deal with the fame that is bestowed upon the Flash, nor does he think it is deserved.
He has a hard time trusting people again and has pushed his friends and family away. He just goes through the routines of life, work, the things he knows and are comfortable.
But when Captain Sigh throws a new Forensic assistant in the mix, Barry's world it thrown of it's axis.
Is she the key to getting him to open up again?

As they begin to reveal their pasts to one another, they realize just how much they have in common, including their feelings for one another. They set out together to fully uncover the truth of their parent's murder. However, it will take more information than they have. When things already seem to be confusing enough for Barry and Y/N, they get a visitor. Will this visitor give them the answers they need? Or will they only make things harder? This story takes place before the tv show actually begins. Everyone I've seen who writes flash fanfiction tends to start the book during the actual show, but I've always thought some of those need more backstory than they are given. So I decided the first book in my fanfiction series should fully explain Y/N and Barry's history with one another. I care a lot about grammar and my writing.
