His mother, Ballidy is a witch and knows her son has fallen for the temptress newborn. Ever is uncertain about Erik's love for her and after their first skin contact, her curse injures Erik. She finds refuge at Ballidy's home, but not for long. Hunters have been tracking her. Soon the battle between Hunters and Vampires begins, leaving Ever to figure out why they need her so badly.
