A third World War was to be expected, but no one could expect the way it would affect the world. New alliances between countries begin to form as others disintegrate, creating the Global Union on one side of the fight and the Universal Alliance on the other.

The need for human enhancement brought on the rise of Epigenics, allowing it to become a global leader in genetic modification. Before anyone could see this war becoming part of the coming apocalypse, hundreds of thousands of mothers volunteered their unborn children to become part of this better race, hoping to bring the world to peace. These children would grow up without knowledge of what they had been subjected to and would become the most coveted soldiers in the world.
