After being moved spontaneously across the country from urban New York to rural northern California, Alana feels completely out of her element. It doesn't help that she's the new girl at school, or the fact that the only reason the town appears to tolerate her is because a certain golden boy has taken quite a liking to her. But there's more to this town than it seems. Hidden behind all these woodland trees, a dark secret is harbored amongst all the residents of Hollows Park. It seems that Alana and her family feel out of place for more than just the reason that they're the newest family in town. Everyone is hiding something, and if nobody will tell her what's going on, then she'll just find out for herself. Alana's curiosity gets the best of her, when she discovers a stream in the woods. Past that stream is a complete and utter mystery. Whenever she brings it up, she's told to stay away. Yet her thirst for adventure is heightened, and she knows she'll find answers on the other side. And everything changes as soon as she steps across the border.

In a life of secluded captivity, Alyvia's only companions were her parents. She believed it was normal... until Alpha Henry Grey stormed into her world, shattering her illusions. As their paths collide, Alyvia must confront the truth about her past, her identity, and the secrets that have held her hostage. Will she find freedom, or will the darkness of her history consume her? *** "She felt an inexplicable pull towards him, as if a missing piece had finally been found. The sensation was familiar, yet she couldn't quite place it... until suddenly, it clicked. Aly's eyes widened as realization dawned on her, and Alpha Grey's expression seemed to indicate he knew exactly what she was thinking. 'Say it...' he urged gently, his finger tracing the curve of her cheek. 'Say it.' Aly's heart raced as she swallowed hard, her voice barely above a whisper. 'Mate.' The word hung in the air like a promise."
