I never thought I'd write a book on the days that I Would get too tired and would forget.
Well here it goes.
I was visiting my grandparents one day with my boyfriend Patrick. we were sitting on the couch, a big green happy, comfy thing, and we were cuddled up on like cobras. Then he ask me if I wanted to go for a walk, and suddenly got up. I agreed, then we walked to the old oak tree, the one I used to play on when I was a kid. The giant branches holding golden leaves, just about to shed for its winter cycle.
I climbed up to one branch and he stayed on the bottom. He smiled up at me and I shrugged my shoes off, letting my feet dangle. “I could carve our initials into the tree. Or would that be too cheesy?” He smiled up at me again, and I saw nothing but love and adoration in his eyes. I hopped down off the tree and put my shoes back on. “So, what was this walk about?” I asked and he suddenly looked nervous, shifting from foot to foot, and he looked at me and said something surprising. "Leah we have been together for a long time so I wanted to say something.....”
“Will you marry me?”
Surprise filled my mind as my lips could only form one word as I whisper that one word...
“Yes”
As soon as he slipped the ring on my finger he looked in the distance shoved me out of the way and then a car ran into him and was pinned between the car and the old oak tree, the beautiful tree smashed with my very new fiance, who I could barely recognize.
I got up and ran over to to him, praying that he was okay. The person that was in the car was out of my line of vision, and after he hit him I saw that he was unscathed. Totally fine.
