The old Bridge was where Emma and Bailey did most of their playing. It wasn't uncommon for them to be seen splashing in the water below or to have a hopscotch game set up on the bridge itself. Maybe this was why it was chosen to be the place of Bailey's untimely death. Emma is heartbroken when the news gets to her, even more so when she hears the police talking about it as if it's just another case they had to deal with. Emma wouldn't let them treat her best friend as If she was another case number, therfore she decided she'd find the killer herself.
