Hunter's Prey

"You are broken." He said as he looks deep into my eyes.

"What makes you say that?" I said my voice sounding strong, "What happened to never judge a book by it's cover?"

He shrugged, "I've simply witnessed one of your most vulnerable moments."

At those words shock, confusion and fear came over me, as if reading my thoughts. He spoke.
