She flashed her eyes at him; suddenly coming to a conclusion. Her green orbs widened in realisation.
"You have a black heart," she whispered softly, her red lips moist with tears. She finally understood.
"Oh, baby," Michael murmured in a mocking tone.
He crouched down to her level, grabbing her chin in his cold hands. His fingertips fluttering over the wet patches of her face. At any other given time, the girl would have revelled in his touch.
"I don't have a black heart. I have a jet black heart," a sly smirk formed on his oddly angelic face, as he hissed the words.
