When a deadly disease strikes the scorched earth, the only way to save what's left of humanity is selecting several teenagers for a series of trials. Some will die, some will survive.
Thomas, named famously after Thomas Edison, finds himself in a large metal container, filled with all sorts of weird supplies. And as he sees the first light since consciousness, he is surprised to find a whole new civilisation. And a boy. A boy who may just be the only good thing about life in the so called Glade. Whilst learning all about the Maze and the dangers that come with it, he bonds with the boy named Newt and Newt soon becomes all he thinks about. But, with the dangers of the Made and the prospect of survival teetering dangerously on the edge, can love ever exist? Or will his knowledge and treachery get the better of this deadly place?
