Demons aren't quite what you'd expect them to be. While they can certainly be mischievous, they're not inherently evil. They can assist humans from time to time, but seldom to they form strong bonds with a mortal. If anything, it's a taboo.
That is, until a powerful witch performs a ritual that was thought to be lost knowledge; a ritual that was to never be performed again, for the safety of both humans and demons alike.
This particular demon hadn't been summoned in centuries, as only the most powerful could. Yet this made him eager to work with the humans again, as it had been so long.
Little did he know that it would lead him to one Amaris Delphi, a mortal girl who would change everything not just for her demon, but the entire demon realm.
Of course, the majority of the demons could not know this, to ensure Amaris's safety. But what happens when Christopher notices himself developing a deep and strong bond towards this human? He was immortal, and she would die one day. What would happen then? How could they ever possibly be together?
They couldn't. Obviously.
