A collection of short Fantasy Stories that I write whenever I feel ambitious, it may very well be years between stories or perhaps just a couple of days, it all depends on my free time and ambition. (Don't get your hopes up on the couple of days, it will probably be many months between stories) Also feel free to give me suggestions/comments, might give me inspiration to write about or allow me to edit existing stories to make 'em better. Contained here are my submissions to complete the 12 Short Stories in 12 Months Challenge over at Deadlines For Writers (deadlinesforwriters.com). They generally fall under the urban fantasy genre and are shared here, as-is, without any editing, for posterity -- warts and all! This was my first year participating, and the first time I've ever written consistently and seriously over an extended period of time, so pardon the newbie mistakes. That said, I am grateful to Deadlines for Writers and its community, but most especially to Mia Botha, the site's creator and owner! Of Stones and Such
This is a living book of short stories that will grow over time. It may not all be in this first book of stories, but in follow-on tomes. These stories are all based in the universe of "Pearls of the Mother," the same universe from which the "Duncan and Lilly" stories live. Some of these stories may overlap, and some may be continuations of another, but they are all part of the same universe. I created these as part of my "World Building and Backstory" system, and I've come to love them just as much as the books. I hope you will, too. Every time a question came up while writing one story, I wrote another story to answer the question. I guess it really is true ...
