After winning the lottery, Lucas leaves tiny Middleburg Virginia for the busy and fast-paced L.A. About a week away from his marriage to Rosie, his childhood friend calls him, telling him their childhood fantasy stories are real. And while he would love to go to Wonderland after all those years, his life was finally on track. The Cheshire Cat doesn't give him much of a choice however, and Lucas finds himself in Wonderland. But, things are not what the book promised, at all.
