String cried for hours. He could feel his body shaking with every sob. He was out of breath. He clutched his pillow hard enough to make his knuckles white. His hair was tousled and his cheeks were tear stained. His cries were silent so nobody could hear his emotion. Letting them know could cost him his life. For now, he was on their side.

Thirst

Pain. Everywhere. I could hardly breathe. But still, I forced myself to stay awake. I couldn't risk falling asleep. I looked at the small cage he had put me in, and sighed to myself. I felt my eyes lose their yellow colour, and go back to my usual colour, hazel. It wasn't easy, being taken away from your family at a young age, and being changed. Into a monster. I didn't know exactly what I was, but I even scared myself when he took me to the woods to hunt, like he just had. I wish he would just let me die. But he wouldn't. Every day, he told me that I was his most precious valuable, and he couldn't let me go. But that doesn't stop my small fantasy of him letting me die. Nothing ever would. That was the thing that I wanted most in the world. That and one more thing. Blood.
