Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing.
Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago.
Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused.

2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed.
...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao.
Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol.
For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. In the meantime, thanks for reading all this, and I hope whoever is still reading Varian fanfiction in this economy is living their best life.
