The Doctor says goodbye to an old face and hello to a new, and still not ginger, one. He's alone and has been alone for too long. And maybe, with a new face, maybe it's time to move on.
Winifred Danes has been in the hospital for 2 years. After being the sole survivor in a car crash she caused, Winnie slept for almost 2 years. When she is finally released from the hospital after waking from her coma, she is heavy laden with guilt. No charges were pressed, the wreck was written off as an accident. But... What if it wasn't? And Winnie soon learns there's only one way to find out. And she finds her answer in the mysterious madman who calls himself the Doctor.

The Doctor, in his 10th incarnation, meets another traveller again. He and Kate seem to complete each other perfectly. But he doesn't know how perfectly until he discovers something about her that will change his life forever. I do generally follow the lines of BBC Doctor Who, but might add or change some details.
