At the game show Catherine was on a winning streak. As the game was going through a commercial break, the other contestant came to talk to her "Hey kid, you wanna do me a big favor and let me win?"
"What why?"
"Well let's just say I really want that money, you see I need this to make me look like I'm extremely smart I think it would be in your best interest."
"No because that would be totally unfair to me I won and I'm not gonna let you win because your greedy!" Catherine tried to walk away standing her ground.
The man put his hands on her shoulder "Listen kid! I'm trying to become a very respected man, you need to let me win or you'll regret it, I'm a very powerful man."
"All my life I've been pushed around by bullies like you but I'm not going to be pushed around any longer! Especially by a mayor wannabe who's pathetic enough to threaten a 13 year old!" Catherine said angrily. She won the game show, eager to tell her mother who had always helped her with her insecurities about being extremely intelligent. Outside the house she saw her mother waving to her, when she tried to open the door the house exploded killing her mother. A day later one of her teachers from the school approached her saying "Catherine... Why didn't you take the dive?!"
"What?"
"That man was my fiancé, the plan was for you to take a dive he'd be seen as hero and the police would get off his case! That's why I gave your teacher Ms. Amira the tickets!"
