Everyone knows the story of Captain Hook. This story, however, is not the one you know.

Set in an alternate universe free of the Evil Queen's curse on Storybrooke, this tale concerns the dark and villainous pirate, Captain Hook, and his quest to slay the Crocodile who took more than just his hand. That story is known across the land and beneath the sea. It is from the sea that a mermaid should appear. A mermaid with eyes of gold and hair of fire, cursed by the same Crocodile who took Hook’s hand. Her quest for freedom begins with a search for the only pirate captain whose story she knows.
But stories are never what they seem.
There is darkness here: the depth of a man’s loss, his darkest desires, and just how far he will go to bring death and destruction.
Fates collide in this tale of revenge and redemption.
Freedom comes with a price.
