I wrote this as a fanfiction for a contest that I didn't win - I guess it was a little too dark for that contest -, but I thought: "Why not publish it?", so here it is. I changed the names and now it's no longer a fanfiction. In a certain way, it never was one because I would never want something like this to happen . Hope you enjoy it. I don't know if I'll end it like this or continue it, you tell me ;)

The Darkness of Beasts and Men
This is a short story about a young man and an incident he (somewhat) overcomes. This is a werewolf story, yes, but not a cliche-d one I hope, as it includes much more unhappiness and gore and such. There is no swearing, no nasty in-bed stuff, but there is gore. I mean, animal-mauling-blood-everywhere gore. Sorry, but in a werewolf reality, it would be rather dark and disturbing. If you do not like those things, please do not read for your own sake. Other than that, mild humor included. No idea if I'm going to write another story with the same sort of people or not, so I will get back to you later about that. Anyways, have fun and good luck. All characters' names and characteristics and fiction, I did not take them directly off somebody, so in cases of coincidence where you or someone you know looks like a character, my apologies, but I swear I didn't look up people and write their description. So just to warn you, this is one of my first attempts at writing. It starts off a little cliché in a 'too good to be true' sort of way, but hang in there. The apocalypse came; firstly only with the side effects of another world war, the radioactive making people sick and poisoning the air and food, but then the zombies came. And they hit hard against an already fragile humankind. Not that it matters to me, really, I'm a vampire after all; no zombie can match me and is even fun to bully them around while I have the whole city for myself. As if a swarm of ants would bother the passing tiger. But one thing did, one that was the worst nightmare of any immortal being. Loneliness. And being bored to death on top of that. Good thing that some humans appear close to my territory, that way I have someone to play with; and the mere thought makes my mouth water, so many things I could do to them... Halloween collab story me and my bf wrote for a contest. It's extremely personal and it refers to irl situation that are hard to handle. This story is the biggest finished project I've ever done. The final length is 17k words. This story starts light and soft and slowly escalates into madness. Please, if you can't digest blood, violence and swears stop right here and don't read further. I did try my best to contain the gore and I avoided to go in details about wounds but I couldn't avoid simply sentences like "The knife dug deeper into his arm, his screams echoed through the entire mansion." so, yes you've been warned.Complete
